Journey Home are a multi-award nominated Country Rock band from the heart of the United Kingdom. Described by BBC Introducing as a “High Energy, foot stomping Country Rock band”, they have been gathering swift momentum since bursting onto the UK Country scene in early 2015. Their attitude to playing upbeat shows and sharing a beer or twelve with fans afterwards has allowed them to develop a truly loyal fan base and perform at some of the biggest Country festivals in the UK including C2C Country to Country, Buckle & Boots and FSA Fest.
The band have stayed true to their roots and have delicately blended their brand of Country music with the Rock music they were raised on. Their parents clearly had good taste and there are definitely elements of bands such as Def Leppard, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Eagles on show in their original material.
Lead singer Jonesy and lead guitarist Ben create a formidable songwriting team and have collaborated on every song since the band originally formed as a duo in 2009 (Acoustic Journey). The guys are known for writing and performing upbeat, feel good tracks that reflect the lifestyles they have lived through their teens and 20’s. The good times, the bad times, the joys and heartaches are all on show in their back catalogue of songs.
“The older we get, the more experiences and stories we have to write about, which makes the continuing progression as a songwriter an incredible journey.”
Journey Home’s new EP “Nights Like These” perfectly showcases the blend of Country, British Rock and Southern Rock the band have developed over the last decade. With Nashville producer Tommy Harden (Reba McIntyre, Lost Hollow) helping guide the sound and embracing the Rock elements as part of the new EP, the band has created a real foot stomping release.
